Although bought my iKamping Y Pro tent a while ago only last weekend got the chance to actually go out, off roading, and test the whole setup. This clamshell tent is rock solid. I installed it on top of my Tacoma. Might look bulky a bit, but I don’t mind since I’m 61 and I have plenty of space inside. The mattress and lights are a nice touch. seems good quality overall and haven’t experienced any problems so far. However, they advertise you can fit a lot of stuff inside…the reality is…doesn’t fit that much without having a hard time to close the top; but some pillows and a blanket/sleeping bags fits just fine. Overall great tent and highly recommend buying it.

Amazing rooftop tent product. Our inaugural outing was met with some severe thunderstorms. The canvas material held up beautifully and we didn’t have a drop of water on the interior. The wind that accompanied the storm did not phase the tent at all. We’ve had it out several times since and the experience has been awesome. My son loves the iPad sleeve for movie nights. I will be adding the 270 awning to the rig as soon as possible.

Stayed my first night in the iKamping Y Pro tent last night. Even with my neighbors blasting music to 3AM, I still slept really well and comfortably. The mattress is really soft and the blackout shades are amazing. Get 2 persons for the install if you're not using a hoist and if you are under 1.8m. I would recommend buying a grab handle to attach to the included lift handle. The package opens up pretty tall and depending on your rig it can be difficult to grab to close but thats a personal problem.

I just spent 2 weeks staying in my iKamping Y Pro Tent in night temps 35-55*f and stayed plenty warm with blankets, handles great in wind with next to NO flapping. From Coast to Desert the new design is wonderful compared to the regular RTT design. Easy to set up, no rods to insert. Plenty of headroom sitting up, foot room which was my reason for buying this set up. The larger windows and skylight are great for ventilation. The ceiling where the outer plastic used on skylight and support bar seems to be condensation magnets. I use an air mattress thicker than the original mattress and still have plenty of room that my feet never touch the ceiling apex. Being 165lbs. Lighter than my first rooftop tent made my truck happier as well as being able to store the bedding and ladder in the tent when closed is a bonus..
